Dwight loved to sing even though, according to his children, he could not carry a tune in a wheelbarrow. | Charles R. Lauer Charles R. Lauer, 88 of Prospect, died Monday evening, July 7, 2014 at his home. He was born April 17, 1926 in Prospect to the late Samuel and Hazel (Thomas) Lauer.
Charlie was a retired rural mail carrier with over thirty years of service with the Prospect Post Office. He was a lifetime member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Prospect where he was a long-time custodian and Treasurer.

Kathryn E. Lauer of Prospect passed peacefully at her home on Tuesday morning, July 17, 2007. She was born on September 27, 1925 to the late Glen and Ophal (Teets) Carr.
Kathryn married Samuel Lauer Jr. on February 7, 1946. They celebrated and shared forty-eight years together before his passing in January 1995. They raised seven children on their farm in Prospect:
