Dear Carey Family,
My heart is broken at our loss of Betty. She was so very dear to me and it just won't be the same without her. I am also saddened that I am out of the state and will be unable to be there with all of you in your time of sadness and sorrow and to celebrate a life that truly brightened mine. I loved Betty and I will miss her greatly.

Mrs.Carey was a name I recall hearing and speaking in the Essex Methodist Church on Sundays and Vacation Bible School... our family lived outside of Essex and for years, our parents made sure we attended ...Mrs. Carey told the most interesting biblical stories of the people in the Bible, as I think she knew it would take alot of creativity on her part to keep us Webb kids listening....I will remember Mrs. Carey and her teachings of scripture.

I attend Columbus State with Deborah and I was so sorry to hear of her mother's passing. I am so sorry for all of the families loss, as Deborah spoke of her mother with such kind words. I will always remember Debb saying, "I don't know what I'm going to do without my friend."
Debb- your mom is looking over you and is so proud of all of your accomplishments. Although I've only known you a short time, I feel blessed to have such a kind spirit in my life. You make others lives better, by just being you.
Please let me know if you need anything at all.

I am in the Bits and Pieces Quilt Guild at the Marion Public Library. Betty came to the meeting last week so it was a shock to read her obituary in the paper. She fondly told us of her son patting her head as they went to the hospital on her birthday. No one had been aware of her illness until she told us.
Betty brought a completed quilt to the meeting. She did exquisite hand quilting. Each stitch looked like it could have been done on a machine. It was probably the last piece she completed. We will miss her presence at the meetings. She was always smiling and participated in show and tell with her wonderful work.
May God comfort you as you rejoice in her life and miss her in the days to come. I hope you will treasure her pieces and pass them on to younger members of the family. Maybe someone will pick up her skill.
Sincerely,
Ann

How fortunate we were to have dinner with Betty and Richard, Mary, and Jeff and Deborah a couple of weeks ago when we were visiting Jeff and Deborah. Betty was her fun-loving self and told us stories about her life with Richard. We always got such a kick out of her stories as she led such a colorful life. We especially enjoyed the outings with Betty and Jeff and Deborah to historical sites in central Ohio. Betty enjoyed planning those and the fun places we would eat. We'll miss her lots but know she has gone to be with God.

Betty shared her latest quilt at our June Bits and Pieces Quilt Guild meeting. As we admired it we didn't realize it would be her last. Betty was an inspiration to us, and we will miss her very much. My deepest sympathy to her family. May the wonderful memories you have of her bring you comfort and peace. Mabel Cheetham

Debbie and Family,
We're so sorry to hear of the sudden loss of your Mom. I shall always remember her big smiles, beautiful sewing skills (I was always amazed at your beautiful clothes that your Mom made you in high school!), and most of all what a "classy" lady she slways seemed to be. May the many "good" memories help to bring you some comfort in the hard days ahead. Take care, and thinking of you.

Debbie and all of the Carey family, my sincere sympathies. I have so many fond memories of your mother. All the girl scout "experiences", she always showed us how to laugh at ourselves. My mother, Doris Beaver, always spoke highly of her. Betty was a gem and will live in our memories forever.
Sincerely,
Janis
